Description

The Olympic Qualifier Series is a new festival-style event launched by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that blends sports with culture and art. As a key project under Olympic Agenda 2020+5, the series includes four sports including BMX freestyle, skateboarding, breaking and sport climbing, bringing together the world's best athletes to show their superb skills in a vibrant urban park.

The Olympic Qualifier Series Shanghai will be held in mid-May 2024 at the Huangpu Riverside. The preliminary rounds will take place on May 16 and 17, and the final rounds for all sports will be on May 18 and 19. Top athletes from all continents and enthusiasts in BMX freestyle, skateboarding, breaking, and sport climbing will gather in Shanghai.

The urban festival held at the event will immerse spectators in a warm atmosphere of sports, art, music, and culture.

Will set 5 exploration zones in Urban Park, including play circles for BMX Freestyle, Skateboarding, Breaking, and Sport Climbing, as well as the main stage Festival Circle. Among the four sports circles, regular activities will be held throughout the day, including cultural exhibitions, on-site coaching, athletes interaction, fun quizzes, skill demonstrations, and photo-taking opportunities. In addition to regular activities, flash relay activities of various themes will be held every day during the event, with urban sports celebrities invited to join in the exciting festival. There will also be various delicacies, souvenirs, and gifts offered on site to add fun and surprises to the festival atmosphere.
